AMM NextGen Spotlight: Abe Shainberg
AMM: What inspires you to paint?
“When I get an image in my mind, I want to bring it quickly to life in a style I have developed over the years. It bridges the Old Masters, Impressionists, and new Abstractionists into a simplified watercolor that gets the essence of the scene. Watercolor allows me the spontaneity, immediacy, transparency, dramatic flourish and natural emotion necessary to combine the elements of nature and my imagination. It takes years to simplify, but it’s worth it.” Abe Shainberg
