Seeking the Creative: Olivia Bozuhoski, Artist & Mural Painter
How would you describe your art in three words?
Versatile, personal, growing.
The young artist Olivia Bozuhoski is an extraordinary example of a creator whose capabilities and passions continue to advance with each passing year. The 20 year old from Riverhead, New York began her illustrative work ever since she could remember. Her talent has strengthened to producing life-like portraits of friends and family. She is constantly sketching in between her assignments from art classes, as she is currently studying Arts Administration at Simmons University. In the summer of 2017, Olivia transitioned her talents from paper to much larger canvases when a high school teacher commissioned her to paint an immense mural on his barn. Olivia has since been hired for many murals, spending around 7 hours a day during the summer on these works. She hopes to continue creating murals, although she admits her true passions lie with her early illustrative works.
Where/how do you gather inspiration?
My inspiration comes from nature, from other artists, and from my personal life.
What do you hope audiences retain from your work?
A lot of my art I make for myself, but for something like a mural I just hope that my art brings a smile or sense of curiosity to people who see it.
